2.0.0.8

its time to bid adieu to 2.0.0.7.
decided to stay in this year. what better way to end the year than with

a few drops of alcohol,

a few biji of chocs and....

ultimately my alltime fav ayam..hehe..from a nearby outlet:)

at least i'll be safe from the crazy traffic, huge crowds and excited teenagers spraying party ribbons on me .and my car. the whole kampung will prolly throng autocity tonight. like xmas
it was things like countdowns that used to excite me. the thrill of joining in the fun of 'party spray' war. the excitement of screaming happy new year with the crowd and hugging random strangers.they no longer do.erm, maybe they still do. just that im not in the mood this year.LOL. major signs of AGING. Im growing so old so fast its scary. eeee~~

no resolutions this year. my ONE resolution last year was not to make any. and i succeeded in keeping it;P

ive learnt this year that life is a constant struggle. be it mentally, socially or emotionally. stop hanging on to sth that will not happen. subconciously or not. things might not be how you want them to be. learn to live with it or to let go. ive stopped living in the past and moved on. ive also learned to accept the 'differences' in 'different ppl' i meet everyday and WILL try to bitch less about them. mind you, those last few words may sound like a resolution but theyre not:P
it had been a very LONG and fufilling year and im grateful for everything that has happened or has not happened. ive definitely grown up in some way or other.hehe.and i certainly look forward to see whats in store for me next year:)

HAVE A FANTABULOUS NEW Y
EAR EVERYONE!!!

ps: i will really really try to succumb less to shopping temptations. somebody pls tie a leash around me:P

spring cleaning

today,
i climbed the highest of highs,
the lowest of lows,
entered dark narrow corners,
eased myself in and out of holes,
buh ahh,
the outcome was far more than orgasmic,
it was worth every droplet of sweat that dripped off my glands,
i 'love' the fact that i breathed in more smut than Oxygen,
the breathlessness i experienced was insurmountable,
now i know,
under the bed of foreign particles,
inside those balls of hairlike structures,
lies a shiny porcelainlike surface,
so clean and new it was almost virgin
perfect for snuggling and cuddling
and any other rendezvous you can put your mind to

im glad i cleaned my room today

have a FUNTASTIC xmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had my xmas countdown celebration this year with a few of my fellow school chums in Autocity. We ate dinner in Tao, and being the jakuns we were, we asked stoopid questions like 'is this ala carte or buffet?'..damn sesat. but it doesnt hurt to make sure aight. we were super blur with all the 'protocols' there initially:P
apparently they had promo 10% off the buffet and lucky draw since it was xmas eve. leong and i won a Guinness Draught towel but i left mine in michelle's car.damn blur case la.haha:P
well, i did the honor of ordering and since most of the names sounded alien to me i just ordered according to the price.LOL.choose all the most expensive dishes la of course..keke..
the dessert was however a lil pathetic. they only had fruits and 1 miserable flavour of ice-cream. of all flavours it was raspberry:(
but food was mostly not bad. what mattered most was the company:)
it was fun catching up and planning on how to dispose all of our leftovers. this is cos for every 100g wastage we will be charged. theres no way we wana risk that do we? it was really fun though:P

dong zhi festival

Its the time of the year again:) Dong Zhi literally means 'arrival of winter' and is an important occasion worth celebrating to signify the good year we've had. This day usually falls on the 22nd of December every year and occurs approximately 6 weeks before Chinese New Year. This is a time for family reunion as well as an occasion for friends and relatives to get together.

Tang Yuan or also known as sweet soup of glutinuous rice balls is essential during this festival. Eaten as it is or stuffed with peanut, black sesame or red bean paste, this delicacy signifies unity and harmony in a family.

This year i got a lil adventurous:) As usual my mom, sis, bro rolled the normal rice balls but ive decided to make an extra of 18 rice balls stuffed with brown sugar. Well, they turned out OK only..i still prefer black sesame stuffings:P

Being the good daughter i am, i woke up at 6 plus and followed my mum to the morning market, helped in preparing the offerings to ancestors as well as the elaborate prayers at home and drove her to a nearby temple to pray. It felt like only yesterday when i last celebrated this festival. how time flies. my grandma told me that we're considered 'a year older' after eating the tangyuan.Gosh!

while my sis and i struggled to roll evenly shaped rice balls,

my bro wins hands down with his perfectly shaped 'balls'
guys are better with balls uh?:p

some of the offerings

on a slightly different note, what do u get when u blend a mixture of
a few batangs of red chillies,
a few batangs of chilli padi,
shallots,
a few cloves of garlic,
2-3 tsp of lime juice,
2-3 tsp of rice vinegar,
and some concentrated chicken broth/stock?

u get a superduperspicylicious chilli sauce

to go with this

'pak cham kai' aka steamed chicken ( if you realise, its part of the offerings on the table)

i finally got it right:))) wheeee~~~~

home sweet home

one month in KL had never felt so long before..it felt like ages since i came back to my good ol' BM. skipped a couple of classes so that i can spend an extra of 24 hours at home..SHhHHhhH..:P

nothing beats the familiarity that i yearn for each time im away. it just feels good knowing that no matter how far you've gone to, theres always a place called home for you to come back to, unconditionally. i love seeing the excitement on my sis's face when im back, and listening to my mum's nagging knowing that it was done purely out of concern, chocs left by my dad when hes outstation ( as compensation :P) or my bro's smirk when he looks at me and tells me that ive gained a few pounds:P..it feels good to be treated like a princess when im home, knowing that these ppl i call family will always accept me as who i am or whom ive become. i love them for loving me unconditionally and will forever be grateful for that:)

sorry for that short emo post, im bored and still overwhelmed from the joy of being at home:P

anyways, i watched Enchanted again with my sis. Had another dose of my McDREAMY aka Patrick Dempsey. He's utterly charming and gorgeous!!!!!i love love love!!! i wonder when will i have my happy ever after *grins*

made sushi with my sis later in the evening. i was kinda reluctant at first since i had not really recovered from jogoya but i gave in after she persuaded me for like 10mins:P got our stuffs from giant and carrefour. i was surprised that they actually sell ebiko separately.hehe.
our first time though, so pardon me if they dont look so pretty..hehe

haPPy 22nd yieng!!!

the title says it all..
a BIG BDAY shout to a good friend,
whose intelligence that never cease to amaze me,
a self proclaimed narcissist who thinks camwhore is an ART,
my bitchin' partner whom i share my fluctuating karma with,
a girl so stubborn when she needs to defend her views,
it makes my neurones fire more than they should.
but most importantly,
she is a good listener when you need one,
one that offers her shoulder when you're in your lows,
a girl so selfless( at times :P) and generous
its impossible for you not to love her:)

have a happy and wonderful bday dear yieng
may all your dreams come true and not forgetting,
SELAMAT HARI RAYA HAJI:P

of xmas party and bangkok jazz

before the party ended, we left to celebrate
yieng's early bday since most of us are leaving for home right before her BIG day. We headed to Bangkok Jazz to chill and drink after contemplating for a super long time. After like 20mins, the electricity went off and the manager came to tell us that it will be alright after 15-30mins. Ok. we were just to tired to move elsewhere and being the nice ppl we are, we stayed and chat and waited PATIENTLY for the lights to come on again. half an hour passed. still no electricity. and then this Malay waitress came and gave us our bill. Million was charged for a drink that never came. That Malay waitress insisted it came and had the cheek to smell our drinks randomly and said that her Gunner was served. it was our drinks Ok.WTH. talk about manners and good service. She cant even speak to us properly and left us in the dark without saying anything. we were like, what the hell is going on??? the bill came back and yet there was mistake but then again we shrugged it off since it was of the same price. thank goodness the manager was nice enough to apologize. that cooled us down a lil.plus earlier he gave us 2 free complimentary drinks. that kinda compensated for the darkness and lousy manners from his waitress. sorry to say this but this is gonna be our first and last time. overall the drinks were OK except for that teeny ugly episode with that waitress.and paiseh to yieng also. her first time celebrating bday with chimuis and it had to turn out like this. but i hope she had fun nevertheless:)

acting cute again:P

wei ken's 'BIG' day @ SOULed OUT

It must be ken's most memorable birthday EVER. Liverpool lost to Man U by 1-0. and he had his head smashed into his cake. Miss meiwen was his unlucky charm throughout the whole match. Clad in hot red halter top, she gave ken his most memorable bday pressie ever when she 'passionately' cheered for liverpool. imagine, 4 close calls but not a single goal..wth?? van der Sar was the man of the match. we had fun looking at ken's expressions while jase was emo and pouty at another corner of the table :P right after the match we sang ken his well deserved hapPY birthday song and to get back to us, he 'decorated' our faces with his bday cake.. sore loser..eessh..You'll never walk alone NOT!!

the food there was good though.flo, ahyi and i had the lime chilli sea bass while some of the guys ate chicken chop . hueywuen's pizza was superb too with its ultra thin crust:) huey wuen's pizza
