Making tablets is very much like what you do in the kitchen, to be more precise its like baking;

First u weigh out the ingredients u need.

Then u subject the ingredients into the machine to mix them. Together with water. Just like adding water to your all purpose flour. The difference here is that our toys are much more sophisticated than the ones u can find in the kitchen:)

Basically, we will leave the wet powder to dry for 24hrs or few days before we granulate them.

When we were all set, we pour our granules into the inlet of the the Rotary Tablet Press aka tablet maker. All we need is to push few buttons and adjust the lever to achieve our desired HARDNESS and weight. chewah. You cant do that with cake do u:P

oo yeah..need a container to catch 'em. they roll fast:P

lochness day trip

I took off with a teeny weeny bit of hope to see 'Nessie', a monster which inhabited the lake eons ago and hence made the loch famous and a must visit destination for those in Scotland.

But then since luiyan didnt come along, so no monster.LOL

We first stopped in Loch Lomond and bought lunch in a shop which boasts the loo of year award 2008. dun play play!!

Next we passed Glencoe, a place associated with lots of bloody stories dated back to the 17th century. The highlands were very majestic and its spectacular mountain scenery awed us:)

We went cruisin around Loch Ness. It was so serene and beautiful but basically it looks the same from every direction. I didnt even realise when the boat turned. Imagine that.haha

Our last stop was Laggan, and we climbed about 50ft to see the so-called waterfall. I was so excited at the prospect of seeing a waterfall. i think the one u can see frm the tapah highway was much better. This version looks more like a beer waterfall:P but that didnt stop us from camwhoring.haha

so yea, my other homies and i baked our first cake when renu had her pp3 session.

words of advice?
PLS pLS do not ever attempt baking cake using ur microwave even though the recipe says so.LOL. it turned out like mocha kuih melayu. tastewise not bad but presentationwise its kinda pathetic. Looked like a lump of some honeycomb brown kuih melayu.

so hmm, we googled and found another recipe for simple mocha cake. but stupid stupid me forgot to check the num of servings and hence did not double the ingredients. the outcome? it turned out to be a super flat lopsided simple mocha cake.LOL

well, thats not the *ahem* worse part. In our attempt to 'decorate' the cake with choc glaze and strawberries, the strawberries just wouldnt stay put and kept sliding off the choc layer. so what we did was remove them one by one and dry them with kitchen towel before plopping them back on the cake.LOL. ok. so far no reported cases of diorrhea so i guess we passed the sterility test:P

one thing i hate about glasgow: the erratic downpour. ive walked under the rain for 4 consecutive days. that explaines why my flu never get better:(

victoria park was one beautiful park we went to earlier today led my prof jim wilson. it was situated near the jordan hill campus.

We were trying very hard to catch up with him as we had to camwhore along the way and the rain definitely did not do us any help.:(

went into the Fossil Grove and was kinda disappointed. Prolly we expected more cos he was raving about how we should rush to the place before it closes. if u want to know more about the place just click here

flo and i bought the same 3 pounds umbrella from Primark. love it to bits. its very handy as it protects us from the rain, wind and serves as a very handy prop to camwhore:P

we accompanied karen to buchanan st earlier so that she can get her handbag. much earlier. even before the shops were open:P

then we got dumped when she decided to continue shopping. ate fish and chips for lunch before leaving for the train station.

This is just the beginning i know. But the need to buy everything is so intense. Cant blame us for not being able to squeeze much stuffs in our luggage with the meagre 20kgs that was alloted. maybe it was a blessing in disguise.LOL.

thank god we're going to Victoria's Park tmr. all we need to spend is just 2pounds for the underground. i hope. *fingers crossed*

i couldn't sit still in class. after listening to god-knows-what-not-sterility-microbs-testing-bla-bla for 4 hours i just couldnt take it anymore. it was terribly agonizing. especially after some of my VERY KIASU classmates left the class to check out the summer sales in zara and along buchanan st. i left the class 1 hour before the class ended. i was immersed in guilt. but it was greatly reduced after bumping into some of my classmates on my way out.LOL

Yihui joined me 2 mins after i cabut..off we went to the city center. just few mins walk away. not exactly financially healthy if ur uni is in the heart of the city:P

the sales in zara was a frenzy. we bought jackets and some other stuffs la. total damage?lets not mention-LAH:P

we were joined by other frens who came after class ended. so basically i could see my batchmates at every corner of the street.LOL.

we then had our dinner in oneils. wanted to try the 3.50pounds set that my homie raved about. soon after groups of familiar faces came in. jbc's inhabitants conquered the whole place. we were all so noisy it was a miracle they didnt kick us out of the restaurant.LOL

and oh yea, if you noticed my hair was curled. was exiting debenhams when this promoter for some very famous hairstylist's curling thong persuaded me to give it a try. tried one lock. it was ridiculously short. so i asked him to straighten it back. shoot. the lock was so stubborn. hence he had to do my whole head:P. was so paiseh many random strangers stopped and looked:P i wouldve bought it if its 16pounds and not 60 friggin pounds. it curls in like 3-5 secs and the curls actually stayed despite the strong winds that had been threatening to rip my head of my neck:P sumore need no chemical and any styling product. i wan i wan!!

on our way back, when we thought the night couldnt get any more boring, we saw a parade rehearsing for some international jazz festival in glasgow. it was all so colourful. i realised Glaswegians have a penchant for colourful parades:P

to celebrate our very boring fri night, ahyi and i whipped up tortilla chips dipped with salsa sauce and cheese. oo la la~~

Good food is so scarce here. first few days was spent eating out, frozen food, takeaways, sandwiches etc etc. it gets jelak after a while. the 2nd day itself and i was missing msian food already. Thank god after getting all our utensils, we've been whipping up home cooked meals.

So this was an event not to be missed according to many peeps. Its the largest cultural event in Glasgow attended by both locals and nons alike. Gaily decorated stalls were erected at roadsides and stages were set up for performances by locals in kilts. damn sexy wei:P

We did some shopping in Buchanan Gallery before heading off to the event. Wth have to leave at 10am in the morn. Never shopped so early in my life before. Most of the eateries here open at 12pm except for those sandwich takeaways. Greggs serves yummylicious sandwiches in my opinion. better than Subway.

anyways, the parade was good. a lil short though. check out the piccies la ok.

Love the weather, love shopping and love the ppl here. Still gotta adjust to their thick accent though. I hope summer lasts whole year round:P Im definitely gonna dread winter:(

after being delayed for 7 hours and hovered 14 hours in the sky we were finally here.

broke my record of not showering for more than 24 hours.

Damage in Tesco was bad..sumore open 24 hours.OMG

Rearranged the stupid redundantly placed puny cupboard in my room. Its much more spacious now.whee~~

Its very cold despite the glaring sun. And the sun sets at 10++pm..gosh. and i just ate my dinner. Heated up frozen sheperd's pie from tesco.

Had scrumptious seafood in Mantis Shrimp Village @ Bukit Tambun for dinner earlier.

This is the last time i get to sample seafood here before i leave. sobs

We tried a new place cos we were all very sien with Fishing Village ady. Not that the food is not good, but in my opinion, try to avoid that place during peak season; weddings, public holidays, weekends etc etc. Had dinner there during labour day last time and it was jam packed. The dishes served was almost tasteless and the wait was very long. Go during off peak period and u will find most of the dishes better than satisfactory:)

This seafood restaurant is prolly one of the only ones that serves salted egg crabs. I dont understand why is this method of preparation so rare here. Anyway, they were very generous with the salted eggs..yummmmmm:)

We also had crabs fried in kamheong style. This dish won the most votes among my family members:)

Next, we had stingray cooked in baba style. This is damn good in my opinion. But i'd like it slightly hotter and spicier..hehe

The stirfried 'than'(in hokkien) was very fragrant and taste was just right. Very fresh too:)

The claypot sea cucumber with mix veges was awesome too.Id be happier if its a pot of tomyam or sth..hehe

what good is a place if they cant fry a decent plate of fried rice and noodles right:P

Not very long ago i mentioned about my cousin sis's wedding. The couple came over to msia to meet all of us 1 week plus ago. It was super great meeting my relatives from sg for ive not seen them since like 5 years ago. All we do is exchange cny wishes over the phone once a year.

Albeit the distance, its funny no matter how long we have not met the awkwardness was not there. We laughed, chatted up a storm and camwhored puas puas:P Felt like when we were young again.

Missed those times 10++ of us would play 'tangkap hantu' in my room with the lights off. It was a routine thing back then when we were much younger. Dun even dare to remember how the room looked like when the lights came on..hehe..and the expression on our parents' face:P

Well, the dinner in Starview was great. It was a gathering cum farewell dinner for my aunts and i. Can consider as early CNY dinner for nxt year which im not gonna be around for:( samor 2 of my kl cuzzies gonna belanja..wait for me to come back laaaaaaa.......

Pork ribs anyone???

I wouldnt know the existence of this place if not cos of good reviews from some of my friends.

The supposedly huge banner which is located next to Citibank's banner looks faded and not vivid enough. I actually missed it despite its size.

No picture cos i was too busy yakking in the car:P

They should put road signs or sth directing orang ramai to the place. Dahlah we dont have that many outlets like this in mainland, they should advertise kao kao since theyre like one of the very few ones we can find here. And very good too:) Apparently its the sister to Tony Romas and Manhattan Fish Market.

i ordered the famous st louis pork ribs combo with fried shrimp. The pork was smothered with super sensational bbq sauce and was just right. Juicy and tender that is. They used the same sauce for their buffalo wings which was equally great. I prefer this one to Chillis actually:)

Bel had some blackened catch of the day which was superb. Didnt sound that appealing when i read the menu but when i tried i was like..gosh, they couldve come up with a better name to match its standard.

The assistant manager and assistant kitchen manager actually came forth and gave us their name cards..and some discount stickers..haha..they must think we're some food blogger:P..food blogger or not if i come across good stuffs of cos must share right:)

Watched Narnia and i thought it was just Ok..not mindblowing..but soso la..got cute boys to drool over..so well, it was good enough for me:P

Indiana Jones on the other hand was good from the beginning (*hearts* shia le bouf) but the ending was a bit potong stim..haha..extraterresterial?? they gotta be kidding..LOL

btw, the newly opened noodle station in sunway carnival was surprisingly good. Went there for dinner with my siblings before our movie:) Prices were reasonable and most of the dishes ive tried were yummy. And the tomyam is wicked:) i never thought i'll ever eat any dish with evaporated milk in it. esp after my food poisoning incident in kuchai lama..hehe. but the tomyam is a must try:)

Another thing worth mentioning was the Malay laksa my aunt had been raving about. Its in Pulau Jerejak Resort and Spa. Not the island itself. Just the jetty area:) It was not bad surprisingly. last time i had one was during highschool. and i didnt like it.hehe.But my heart stays with assam laksa:)

Esp when Chris painstakingly defended his hometown Bintulu. again. We even laughed at how they name their dishes.. Thats prolly the only thing that makes hongkie kopitiam different from wongkok char chan teng and kim gary:)

The green curry was delicious too. The pandan chicken was marinated and grilled/fried to perfection. My fav was of cos undoubtedly the tomyam. mum loves the green curry best..hehe

lil david never fails to give me goosebumps each time he sings.

Big david makes me drool each time he performs.

see how these 2 great singers affect me differently. One acts on my liang roma while the other on my salivary glands. If possible i want both to win AI.

But there can only be one winner. Too bad for lil david, big david is the proud owner of the title america idol. I thought his performance was good, but lil david gave me more goosebumps. Maybe after simon's comment for cook, his fans voted harder for him, hence the result.

i cant say for real who deserves it better though. Cook is a talented musician and his performances has 'presence'. and he is more versatile although he has more setbacks than archuleta.

on the other hand, archuleta had been consistent since his audition. i like the way he sings every word like he meant it. but he can only sing certain type of genres. give him rock and u will be scrambling for your earplugs..LOL

so, versatility vs consistency? Who do u think really won?

i think both are equally good in their own ways. Im thrilled for cook that he won but archuleta shouldnt even have any reason to be disappointed. Hes a big star already. Even my parents love him!!hehe. im sure in no time both their albums will be top of the chart:) can't wait!

world's music festival @botanical garden

it is indeed true when ppl says that music is a universal language.

It is funny when u can groove to the performers' tunes and yet not understand a single thing that was sung.

Performers from USA, Denmark, France, Tibet and Kenya sure heated up the atmosphere in botanical garden that very night. Groups of people was dancing like theres no tomorrow, while some were all set with booze and were drinking the night away.

We reached around 6plus and the whole place was already swarmed with people.

The night started of with haunting tunes from Techung (Tibet). Honestly, it was so soothing and peaceful if u throw me a mattress i will doze off on it:P

The atmosphere was then revved up with upbeat performances by the traditional Cajun band, Balfa Toujours (USA). I was thinking, finally something in English. LOL. boy i was so wrong. the only time when they spoke in english was when they introduced themselves and when they wanted us to sing along:P they did a rendition on popcorn jazz(or so they say) and some watermelon song. the rest cant remember liao.hehe.

i *heart* the accordion-ist:P

I must say that the French band (Lo Cor De La Plana) that performed right after was worth drooling. French guys are sexayyy dont u agree with me? Dont care if i dont understand them, whatever that came out of their mouth sounded sexy.thats all that matters:P

Next up was the Afenginn hailing all the way from Denmark. Well known as the 'bastard-ethno-band', they did not fail to intoxicate the crowd with their trademark bass rhythms. They definitely wowed everybody with their cheeky play-as-they-feel attitude.And pink suit?? what was he thinking??LOL

Last band to perform for the night was Kenge Kenge from Kenya. I must say that showmanshipwise theyre definitely the best. The girls can really shake. both boobies and booties alike. they really entertained the crowd to the max. some i noticed were really ecstasy-high. those who can pump testosterone in particular:P

Gobi will DEFINITELY love this performance. curves+boobs+sexy hips will definitely turn him on. confirm nose pancut darah:P

apparently no kenyan woman is allowed to touch that instrument. its sacred.

Gobi must be thinking, 'damn, why didnt i take up some kenyan folk dances? that guy couldve been me'

i was bored. I had my camera in close proximity. So the most next natural thing i did was to fiddle with it. Tried to do light painting. Hence, i set my shutter to 15secs and put my cam on timer. Here are the result of my wuliaoness.

well, they're not exactly pretty but what alarmed me the most was what i noticed on my lcd few minutes later.

U see, my room was pitch black, and i noticed a teeny bright spot on the lcd. I tried capturing a dark pic hoping that the spot wont show in the piccie. It wasnt that noticeable in the piccie but its there.

I was worried that i'll have dead pixels. Ran a sample pic thru a diagnostic test and found that i have a couple of hot pixels.

I hope they wont morph into dead pixels.

well, in case u guys are wondering what the heck i was jibbering about, hot pixel is a permanently lit (white) pixel and is best seen against a dark background. On the other hand, stuck pixel will usually be most visible against a black background, where it will appear red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, or yellow, although stuck red, green, or blue pixels are most common. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these will disappear with time as reported.

They weren't there when i first purchased my cam and i know theres no reason i should fret over this. Nor should anyone. It happens to everyone who owns anything with lcd. It could be a manufacturing defect or could also appear over time due to long exposures, high iso or high temperature. It should only bother you if these bright specks appear on your pictures or is very prominent even without zooming. U should however send ur camera back to the shop if u stumble across any dead pixels. Dead pixels are pixels that are unlit and is obvious against a white background. Best would be checking ur cam right after purchasing it. Better be safe than sorry:)

i just so happen to stumble across these hot&stuck pixels and it bothers me a teeny weeny bit. The guy in the cam shop told me that im the first customer ever to enquire about these..paiseh.. he must be thinking 'why lah this girl so particular?can snap pics cukupla'

But it doesnt hurt to check right.

Seniors went to keukenhof garden in amsterdam and i was so jeles. Cos the tulips were damn beauuutifffuull..

Now i have a fair share of flower piccies to show off..No tulips, but better than nth..bluekss

Aunt and uncle drove there.i thought it was gonna be a boring trip.what can you do besides all the sightseeing with other ahpo tourists and groups of screaming kids on a school tour?(i was one of them before..10years back..teehee)

The trip was surprisingly fulfilling. everything there is so pretty and HUGE. They even have purple chillies. wth..and huge turnips

omg, i sounded like my grandparents who went there recently..why am i getting so excited over fruits and veges?...LOL

perhaps its a sign, that im already embracing my *cough*maturity*cough* haha

so, what is the reason tonnes of peeps throng cameron almost everyday?

is it the pretty flora u get see but no way u can bring them home them unless u build an indoor garden with aircon?

just watched malaysian dreamgirls epi 14..haha yes i know im slow but wth:P

i cant stand nadia's kiasuism. its overwhelming. just by listening to what she has to say irritated me to the very core.

i cant stand kiasu ppl. each time i come across one i wana beat them up into a pulp and toss it into the sewage. in fact, ive wanted to do that on many occasions. a hint of kiasuism is healthy as motivation, but when it affects ppl around u pls just die and disappear. or lock urself in an empty room where we dont have to hear or see you.

Kiasuism really brings out the ugliest in ppl sometimes. Back in school, i would be lying if i say im not kiasu at all. I was. But only cos i wanted to meet the expectations ive set for myself. Not those kind where i run around the class comparing my marks with every single being in the class. I only do that with my partner sitting next to me or those within my vicinity.haha. If i do well, i'll thank God, if i dont, then i'll remind myself that it could've been worse.

Growing up, i guess ive not changed much. I still dont run around the place worrying and comparing my results, knowledge or material stuffs with others. I just dont see the point. Having 10 marks higher than others does not make u any smarter ( altho sadly to say we were all brought up in a country where good grades=smartass) nor having a Coach handbag will make you seem any richer.( ok, it does, to a certain extent :P but u know what i mean).

But imagine if u are surrounded with people who makes sure he/she has everything u have, know the same amount of information as you do or more and constantly worrying and stressing up cos he/she is shy of probably 1 insignificant mark from the people he/she knows in exams. It is ironic cos sometimes u end up consoling the person even though u probably did worse than him/her. Cmon already, ur grades does not reflect how good you are in applying your knowledge. Not when we're still bounded by a system where the more u can regurgitate, the better student you are.

Anyhow, there's nothing wrong with wanting to get good results, but it's definitely terrifying if you're greedy, kiasu, and you cannot appreciate what you have. i guess people hungry for recognition are never going to be satisfied with what they have. They will probably succeed, but will they be truly happy?

Remember that even if you win the rat race, you're still a RAT.

of hospital attachments and vacationing

Had our 2nd hospital attachment in klang HTAR last week.

We were all set this time. Oil blotters, sweets and candies were prepared in case we pengsan. We dreaded it in the beginning. The wards were hot and stuffy and very congested. And the number of good cases were very limited. Dengue fever cases were on the rage but we were not encouraged to clerk these cases.

i seriously think i need to take up Tamil or sth as my second dialect especially when it comes to communicating with Indian patients. Either they refused to speak in BM or they just cant.

i asked one of my Indian patient, " Sudah berapa lama kencing manis?"
she answered, " saya tak tau cakap melayu"...WTF

*5 mins of akward silence ensued*

First two days were dreadful cos the number of good cases were limited. We had a hard time meeting our target. But after that it was more relaxing. Cos all we had to do was to follow up the patients. It feels good when u see patients getting discharged. That also means we can close our case..Its a win win situation:P

I honestly think that the whole week of my attachment somehow compensated for all the long hours of lectures and theory approaches we had been doing for the past 5 semesters. We should have done this earlier. No point memorising a list of drugs and regurgitate them for exams only to forget everything right after every paper. It is ALWAYS effective if u can apply your knowledge. Well anyway, better be late than never right.hehe

It had been fun ogling at cute docs and pharmacists as well as dealing with few sarcastic nurses who seems to think we're in their way most of the time..BLAME doc's illegible handwritings larrr..esssh.. Miss chrissy had been brilliant in guiding us throughout the week. Shes very knowledgeable and helpful. Shes like our walking BNF..LOL..lunch with her on friday was super fun..listening to her stories when she was in scotland and all. We didnt feel like shes very much older than us. She is one lecturer we're gonna miss despite only knowing her for a short period of time.

It was very sweet of our juniors to throw all of us a farewell party the other night.

Performances were great and thanks kakeat for making such a great video. I almost had tears in my eyes. It was very moving:)

Later, goodbyes and well wishes were exchanged amongst juniors and seniors before we bid our final adieu to IMU

It had been 2.5 years...friendships were fostered and lifelong bonds were formed. I have made friends that i know i can count on at anytime, anyday.

Friends that gossip with you till wee hours in the morning , friends that show u theres light at every end of a dark tunnel, friends that put a smile on your face, a friend who can be ur on-call shopping partner, a friend who does favors for you without asking for anything in return, and most importantly, friends that had seen you at your highest and lowest moments and yet chooses to stick with you. thats really priceless :)

of course there are times where u feel like u could've done better, in any aspect, but i would'nt do it any other way, given the chance to turn back time :)

Honestly speaking, i don't think i will miss IMU as much as i missed high school or even INTEC. But its still too early to say anything.hehe. Maybe bcos everything is so routine here? or is it cos everything is now harder and more complicated for me to comprehend? studies-wise? or human relationships?

or maybe cos the building i spent hours and days in does not exude uni-ish feeling? maybe cos i spent more time getting pissed with ongoing construction all over the place i actually forgot to enjoy my time there..SOMETIMES..haha

Watching the video the other night stirred emotions that was never there before. Some parts were VERY memorable, whereas some parts buzzed pass me like a hazy blur. Maybe at some point my autopilot mode was switched on:P

t'was my last few days staying in vista. the last of few items were packed and secured into the luggage. cupboards and cabinets were cleared. rooms were emptied. can't believe 2 1/2 years came and went just like that.

as cliche as this may sound, but TIME REALLY FLIES..

Had dinner in chillies with the gang day before my hospital attachment. wee kee was as usual the clown. he should really star in a comedy reality show or sth. or write a book like Idiots Guide to Being Lame and Funny. We were laughing nonstop. The lamb shoulder i had was damn yummy too. It was grilled to perfection, marinated with spices that stimulated all my senses accompanied with their famous mashed potatoes.
Thank god i did not stick to my routine Triple play :)

Change is good:)

Hospital attachment in Klang was so-so. It was better than expected. The ward area was however super stuffy and congested. we felt as though we were in everyone's way..eessh. imagine, i was in formal clothes and lab coat. can really pengsan from heatstroke anytime. but footdrill back in secondary school had taught me to be more resilient..LOL..will have to get used to it since my next attachment is in 2 weeks' time. The gov should really allocate more money to revamp gov hospitals. pls have mercy on those working there and also the patients for goodness' sake. We really don't need another bridge or skyscraper. And computerizing everything in EVERY hospital would be a good change. Then pharmacists would not have to suffer reading doc's illegible writings. It is really an art though.. for one to be able to decipher ECG-ish handwritings.LOL

Home had been good so far. It encourages me to live life the sedentary way. how 'healthy'..LOL..

must buck up and start preparing for my case presentation liao. the moss in my head is growing proportional to the amt of time i leave my books untouched..keke

it had been a flurry of activities since our last paper ended.

Met ah ming in TGIF then later adjourned to ajimal . Had my fav tomyam there..been craving for it since forever..we were entertained by his experiences studying in manipal. It was really an eye opener listening to his stories. I dont think i would've survived there for even a month. Now that he's back i have extra lepak kaki liao..whoowee!! my 'chimui' is finally back:)

He ordered roti tissue and the funniest thing happened. All of us broke out into peals of laughter. I dun remember when was the last time i laughed that hard..:P

a few minutes later, he brought a whole stack of tissues to our table. We were bewildered. We paused for a while before realising that he got ming's order mixed up.

ming and i: abang, nak roti tissue bukan tissue. (we were already laughing our ass off)

few minutes later, another stack of tissues made their way to our table again..we were like..SWT..hahaaaa

the waiter was damn blur Ok..he had other waiters laughing and grinning away also. we had TWO stacks of tissues on our table before the arrival of the REAL roti tissue.LOL.this had never happened before..must be ming. This must be his most memorable mamak trip in sri petaling.keke

next 2 consecutive days, i went shopping. sales were everywhere. damage was done. regarding how much damage leh lets not go into that part la kay. at least it was emotionally therapeutic :P

Perhentian day 1
We boarded the bus to Kuala Besut on Sunday night. Boy the journey was so scary cos the driver was driving at the speed of 120km/hr on those trunk roads heading to kelantan we couldnt sleep the whole night.

Reached at about 5plus in the morning. we were all zonked..LOL..had to wait for the boat at 7am so chilled in this chinese kopitiam. We were surprised to find that the daughter of the shop ate crab and bread for breakfast. wth. talk about growing up with seafood all around you *jeles* ..the only time we get to eat seafood like this is during celebrations-bday, cny, anniversaries, post-exams, etc etc.

It was raining and the bus driver was asking us why we chose such time to berholiday in perhentian cos it had been raining for days. we were bummed.

hence, we tried to increase our karma by sparing a bug's life in the kopitiam praying and hoping that it wouldnt rain for the next few days.*fingers crossed*

The boat ride was crazy cos we were going against the waves. The sea was also turbulent after it rained the whole night. gosh. it was a crazy journey

Snorkelling was at 2pm so had time to rest when we reached our resort. Arwana Perhentian resort looks as good as was portrayed in the brochures so we weren't disappointed. The only setback was the beach area. It wasn't as clear as we had anticipated. But oh well, we were sure there were more good things to come..not that we had the time to bermandi-manda at the beach also lar:P

We had another round of snorkelling in the deep sea.. the corals were just breathtaking. had fun feeding the fishes too..hehe.. thank god it stopped raining:)

thanks to those who contributed in propelling me in the sea..LOL..if not i would've ended in kuala terengganu or sth. the waves were just too strong:P

was super bloated after the meal. went to the beach and chilled before adjourning to our rooms. we spent the whole night gossiping aka sharing our observations with others. it had been fun and enlightening..secrets were revealed, jokes were told, and opinions were shared..theres no way girls can ever get sick of doing this..:P but i was sure our karma was lowered cos the next morning it rained..:P

Day 3
It was our last day in the island. Wanted to kayak but it rained whole morning.sigh.and the souvenir shop was closed. the owner was on hols..wth..we tried our luck by asking (pestered) the receptionist to somehow get the keys and open the shop..anddd we did it!!..hehe..when desperation calls, we girls can go to the extremes:P

Ballots were casted. Pg's sky was grey and overcast. Speculations about how BN is trailing behind opposition spread like wildfire through smses. It was confirmed later that night. Opposition trumps over BN with a landslide win in the state which left the whole nation stunned.

People have sent their message across loud and clear. The verdict is now here to haunt. 5 states in total is now under opposition. BN may still remain as our government but this must be also the greatest defeat they have suffered in decades.The government better buck up and LISTEN to their people or else they're gonna lose the support they are left with now.

"this was clear proof of democracy at work in the country" says our Prime Minister. That would be the only wisest thing to say after an emotional whirlwind he had to go through.

i sure do hope the change is for the better. i am neutral and do not believe that the opposition is better than BN and likewise.

This is politics. We're merely choosing the lesser of both evils or to put it in a nicer way, the better of two goods.

a superbly damn worth it cheap buffet in Noble House in bkt bintang.

it was only rm39++ not inclusive of tax..we ate to our hearts' content. after the first hour i was already halfway surrendering. but saw everybody still eating.so mar eat lor..kiasu mar..LOL

the thing we liked about the place was that new dishes kept coming and of course we didnt know that. we thought the ones on display earlier was all we could savour. so we were full by the time they replenished old dishes with new ones..boOHoo..thank god for the loo *winks*

to know when to stop talking and start listening to others. a combination of different music notes always sound better than a loud flat treble no?

to be able to share his/her thoughts with another without appearing too full of him/herself.

to know how to sell him/herself to the superiors in a sophisticated manner and yet be so humble when grandiosity is not necessary.

i love my tutor for being not prejudiced nor angry with me for performing way below par for my biopharm class test. im not talking about making 5 mistakes and making a hooha out of it like some people do.

thank god he didnt give me the lecture on how-sponsored-students-are-supposed-to-maintain-good-academicrecords
-throughout-all-the-semesters. thanks for being understanding. i was already close to tears.

i must say that my consistency depends alot on 50% luck and 50% memory. on that fateful morning of exam, my amethyst bracelet broke, mr. cockroach said hi to me and my stomach was churning from food poisoning. i felt jinxed the whole day. yes, im superstitious. but i went on and faced the paper with a smile cos i filled my mind with thoughts of going home the next day. but still feel a tinge of jinx nevertheless. it didnt go away. so it was 10%luck left and prolly 35% memory. that totally didnt help.

i tried to be optimistic. ive not seen good results in a while. im afraid that the happiness i had from better results in the past would not be enough to sustain me emotionally if things are still going downhill.

i keep telling myself to buck up, study hard if not HARDER. a fren told me she feels worthless cos she feels like shes the weakest academically among some of her peers. i gave her the do-not-compare-yourself-to-others-cos-u-are-perfect-in-your-own-ways speech to console her but i was actually trying to comfort myself?

i duno man. didnt mean to be emo. just a class test anyways. just that the amount of effort i put in was not justified. you dont normally get to reap what u sow do you?

so kaya, they had to play their fireworks on the 12th day of cny. when its all quiet and boring. so that everybody will run to the balcony and look at their amazing display of fireworks.

it was AMAZING nevertheless. it lasted for like almost 15mins. hehe

im so homesick its depressing if im required to write about depression on monday i can definitely write few pages long on a real case scenario.

had a singles outing yesterday. as usual. but the group had shrunk in size considerably *wink*

had lunch in Fusion Haven. Food was great, company was great and we were reminiscing the first time we were there after our FIRST class test (16mcqs)

life was much easier then. we've definitely come a long way since then :)

i thought i was gonna sleep through dinner. thank god the guys ajak-ed us out to makan. i was just joking when i said i was going to have candelit maggi mee dinner with ahyi. they got my hint.keke

after dinner, we had pomelo brought all the way from ipoh (by ahyi) accompanied with peach white wine courtesy of peilian from Luxembourg. It was a divine combination. the pomelo was oozing juices while the white wine was so smooth everyone was orgasmic after that. LOL. only white wine and pomelo. no dudes. thank god. god knows what we'll do if theres any *WINK*

it was an oK day overall. nth much to shout about. i was instead looking forward to all the fireworks cos all the hokkiens would 'pai tin gong' accompanied with lavish spread of delicacies, prayers paraphernalia, and lotsa fireworks. yes, i LOVE fireworks. gosh i felt homesick more than ever.

not forgetting, thanks chiyuan for the handmade rose. its very pretty. thanks for taking the effort to put a smile on (20-30?) girls' faces on such special occasion :)

my dad is not a fan of jap food, so its very kind of him to actually bring all of us to Tao. majority wins.muahahha..poor old man.

but poor old man surprisingly ate so much when we got back the toilet became his second home...LOL

everybody liked the place except for the fact that some orders didnt come, and sometimes we had to wait for quite awhile before the food arrives.

and the whole place was jam packed. cny mar.hehe

we were early, so we walked around the place and camwhored a lil. well, more like i camwhored nia *winks*

been waking up at 7am everyday since i got back home. wth its been ages since i actually heard the roosters crow in the morning. followed mum to the pasar pagi to get cny stuffs. boy its neverending. and ive never seen such old ganas aunties before. i was practically shoved and pushed aside by those ganas aunties who wanted to get their hands on the freshest and biggest and cheapest. since i was just my mum's mobile 'trolley' i gave way and stood aside to prevent from being slammed into a crate of veges.

did a couple of last minute shopping with my sis also. everything has to be new mar.

from undies to slippers. all new :)

must be donned in new pieces from top to bottom.

according to shianyi, if u do that u will have abundance of clothes to wear the whole year round. didnt know that. its normally an excuse to get more stuffs nia :P

3 of us adik-beradik ditched our mum at grandparents' place in pg and went on a shopping spree!!good food, had a few good laughs, and good sales!! got myself 4 tops, cropped pants, shorts, 2 pairs of heels, a comb, nail polish, a hairband, and a few other stuffs. wanted a pair of purple sneakers frm Converse but well, i thought it was enough for the day. i was walking like a 'king kong' from all the bags. but well, my bro suffered the most. followed us girls for 6 hours nonstop with all our purchases most of the time:P

being the nice taikajie i am i gave them a treat in Sakae Sushi. LOVE the place. better than Sushi King in my opinion. More variety and we did not have to go through slow waiters to place our orders. all we did was to key in everything we wanted to order in a computer. damn canggih wei:P

woke up to the most wonderful news i've heard in months..our allowance came in!!!with increment and all. boy we were all so excited all of us took turns to hog the atm machine in IMU. minds wandered to Midvalley and Pavilion during Skin Disease lecture. beaming faces could be seen scattered all over the lecture theater. i was exceptionally happy i was smiling at random strangers that walked pass me.

the downside was that i had to go home instead of joining my chimuis shopping. as tempted as i was i did not succumb and instead went home to pack.

i was already at the lrt station when i realised i forgot my laptop adapter.wth.and i removed my battery already. i had to run all the way back to my room under the scorching hot sun to get it.damn paiseh yieng and yihui had to wait for me in the end. and i thought i was early initially.bleah

upon reaching pudu, i was shocked to find out the my bus left at 3pm.wtf. i thought it was suppose to leave at 3.30pm?? only then i realised 3.00pm was printed on my tic. i requested for 3.30pm when i got my tic earlier and somehow i remembered the lady behind the counter giving me my tic. i checked the date, seating num, and everything else but the TIME. to think that i was early when i was actually 15 mins late. its ironic cos these buses never leave on time. minimum pun 15mins later than designated time. when i needed the bus to leave later it was on time and vice versa. i was on the verge of hopping into the next lrt and meet my chums in midvalley.seriously.haha.my senses got better hold of me and i bought another bus tic bac.rm48 to balik kampung.my first charity after checking my account balance.LOL.maybe its a sign that i should not go home just yet. shouldve stayed and shopped first.haha

first thing when i woke up in the noon the next day, i flew to pacific to get my camera fixed. turns out that i had 'fungus' infection on the lens. a very rare case and normally happens only on a dslr's lens. how lucky eh?? i had to send it bac after cny to get it serviced. gonna miss it lots.2 whole weeks without my cam is gonna be agonizing.

walked aimlessly and stumbled across a pair of Levi's Lady Style dark denim studded with swarovski stones on the rear pockets..me LOVE LOVE LOVE!! im a bling fan and hence the nxt most natural thing i did was, i bought it. in less than 15mins:P
i was a lil discontented cos the label was sewn slightly crooked. the finishing on the label was not perfect.but ive already altered the jeans so i could not change it.SOBS. although i would not wear anything so short to expose the label, i just wanted it to be perfect. for self satisfaction. i paid so much for my jeans kay!! maybe i can get it to some of the shops in kl and ask if they can do anything about it.sigh.shouldve noticed it earlier. but i was too busy checking the length and i didnt notice.i mean that would be the last place u'll look right??double sigh.but i still love it nevertheless:)

whatever u watched in those TVB dramas come to life..trust me, things can turn out uglier than it appears in that electronic box. minus all those chiseled, buffed, pretty actors it is a total different scenario when u have to see it with your own eyes, or if not hear it from witnesses themselves.

yes, my neighbour's husband left her for a younger and hotter chick. typical of a philandering businessman.sorry for stereotyping.and boy the whole ordeal was catastrophic. before he left her, he hit her a number of times and managed to influence all his kids into thinking that their mother is a psycho and evil. and he hit her real hard, i saw the bruises with my own naked eyes. the neighbours advised her to go to the police but when she did, the officers couldn't be bothered. my heart went out to her when her husband and their kids left her as well as cutting the electric and water supply to the house. how cruel can people get? c'mon, u dont even do this to a stranger lor for heavens' sake what more to a person u spent the last 20 years with.. and as for all her 4 daughters, i seriously cant put myself in their shoes and figure out why they can conspire with their dad and be brutal to their mum. i mean, of course there are times u feel like 'killing' her for all the naggings and stuffs. but it eventually will go away. u dont keep the grudge with u and hate her so passionately. earlier, my sis called. the husband and her kids came. they wanted to chase her out of the house. or to scare her. they were so forceful the whole stainless steel gate came crashing dowN..WTF???? my sis was traumatised lor. it was really a loud BANG. wtf???what happened to civilisation? cant they settle this like civilised human beings? are all those yellings and physical attacks necessary???i really have nothing to say...feels like stone age all over again

i cant stand it when...

some people thinks they have the upper hand in EVERY decision that has to be made just because they have the means to do so or because they think theyre betrothed with the 'title' to do so. pls, i really dun need another mother/principal/dicipline teacher that sets the rules and expects everyone to adhere to it without prior discussion.

i see some of my peers bellitling others academically just because theyre sponsored by the government and hence 'suppose to be' one of the smartest in the country. i am not that soleh but this irritates me alot. it may be subconscious but its OBVIOUS. everybody is made equal and hence one may be better than you in things that u might not have even heard of. its not always about the A's or dean'slist or godknowswhatshit award that they present to you for 'self-saticfactions's' sake.

certain people CONSTANTLY coming to me and sound his/her worries about future event thats not even taking place yet. yes, i worry too but i do not need to be reminded EVERYDAY. and i know, its a good thing to think further but i dont think sounding your worries all the time will do anything to help at all. i dont even know if i will make it through today so the last thing i need to hear is all this blablabla. moderation is the key.

people do not know how to take no for an answer. do i have to say yess all the time just to make you happy. yes, the truth always hurt but pls act like an adult and deal with it.

your hipocrisy shines so BRIGHT its blinding u turn me away. u may think its subtle but its not.

sorry for my rantings. just cant help it when im irritated.may sound trivial but im just super irritated. i think its PMS-post menstrual syndrome. or pre-exam syndrome. or current-homesick syndrome. so not healthy.

i promised myself that i will not skip dr julienne's class. but of cos when shit happens its inevitable. i was on my way out of the house. then i realised i didnt bring my keys out. and i locked my room already. from the inside. so i was literally stuck between my room and the main door. thank god i had the living room and kitchen to roam for that pathetic one hour before the arrivals of my heroes. and thanks shianyi for leaving the novel outside.dunno why u did that. maybe subconsciously u knew that would happen.i didnt look that reluctant to attend class did i? (btw, Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern is a good read:).very addictive). and thanks jase for chauffering shianyi back to rescue me..LOL..as u say, its prolly karma. and yes Father jason, i will bitch less *fingers crossed*

a friend told me it comes and goes as quickly. im talking abt the unlucky electronic bug that got me this few days.it affects me when in less than 4 days, i realised that my cam has a black stain on the LCD which i tested and found out that the black stain comes frm inside the lens. 2 days after, my modem konked after a thunderstorm hit and yday my fan decided to retire from rotating. how lucky is that???

the modem was replaced after wasting $$$$$ on calling some stuOOPid-perverted-lazy ass technician from TIME persistently..

have to wait till my cny break before finding out whats wrong with my cam.

and as for the fan. will bid adieu to it after few more months.

and pls..no more 'tragedies'..it cant get any worse than this can it??
